                                     What if the moon fell to earth?

                                                   চাঁদ যদি পৃথিবীতে পতিত হয়?

ভাবুন তো দেখি যদি চাঁদ পৃথিবীতে পড়ে যায় তবে কী হবে? চলুন আজ তার উত্তর খুঁজে বার করি।

সেই পরিস্থিতিতে চাঁদ আমাদের পৃথিবীকে স্পর্শ করতে প্রায় এক বছর সময় নেবে।  হ্যাঁ, প্রথম কয়েক দিন আমরা আকাশে কিছুটা বড় এবং উজ্জ্বল চাঁদ লক্ষ্য করব। কিন্তু কয়েক দিন অতিবাহিত হতে না হতেই পৃথিবীর উপর সমুদ্রের জোয়ারগুলি  উচ্চ থেকে উচ্চতর হতে শুরু করবে। আর এক মাসের মধ্যেই চাঁদ পৃথিবীর অর্ধেক দূরত্ব অতিক্রম করবে, যার ফলে সমুদ্র সৈকত এবং উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে ৪ মিটার লম্বা জোয়ার সৃষ্টি হবে।

তবে এটি কেবল শুরু কারণ আগামী ৪ থেকে ৫ মাসের মধ্যে জোয়ারের উচ্চতা ১০০ মিটারের কাছাকাছি চলে আসবে এবং এই  জোয়ারের সময় সড়ক সেতু এবং বাড়িগুলির মতো প্রধান শহরগুলির কাঠামোগুলি ডুবে যাবে। চাঁদ যত কাছাকাছি আসবে ততই পৃথিবী তার পৃষ্ঠের নীচে চাপ অনুভব করবে  মাধ্যাকর্ষণের কারণে যার ফলে বিভিন্ন স্থানে উচ্চ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্প এবং আগ্নেয়গিরির অগ্ন্যুৎপাত হবে।

এখন চাঁদ তার পতনের শুরু হওয়ার পর থেকে অর্ধেক বছর পরে এটি জিওসিঙ্ক্রোনাস কক্ষপথ নামে একটি উচ্চ পৃথিবীর কক্ষপথে পৌঁছাবে যা উপগ্রহগুলিকে সংক্ষিপ্ত ঘূর্ণনের সাথে মিলিত হতে দেয় এবং একবার চাঁদ সেখানে বসতি স্থাপন করার পরে বন্যার কিছু জলও সমুদ্রে ফিরে আসবে।

এখন পৃথিবীর মাধ্যাকর্ষণ তার শক্তি প্রদর্শন করতে শুরু করবে এবং আগামী কয়েক মাসের মধ্যে পৃথিবীর দিকে মুখ করে চাঁদের দিকটি আমাদের গ্রহের দিকে প্রসারিত হতে শুরু করবে যা তার আকৃতিকে ডিমের মতো রূপান্তরিত করবে, যার ফলে এর পৃষ্ঠের নীচে বিশাল চাঁদে ভূমিকম্প হবে। সময়ের সাথে সাথে চাঁদ পৃথিবীকে তার ঘূর্ণনের চেয়ে দ্রুত প্রদক্ষিণ করতে শুরু করবে, যদিও এটি সময়কে হ্রাস করবে এবং তাদের বেশিরভাগই সমুদ্রে ফিরে আসবে তবে এই দ্রুত ঘূর্ণনটি আরও বেশি ভূমিকম্প এবং আগ্নেয়গিরির অগ্ন্যুৎপাতের কারণ হবে কারণ চাঁদ থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা ধোঁয়া এবং ধূলিকণা সূর্যকে লুকিয়ে রাখবে যা আমাদের চারপাশে অন্ধকার সৃষ্টি করবে।

তারপর সূর্যালোক এবং বিষাক্ত গ্যাসের অভাব তাপমাত্রা হ্রাস করবে এবং অ্যাসিড বৃষ্টি সৃষ্টি করবে যা উদ্ভিদ প্রাণী এবং বেশিরভাগ মানুষকে নিশ্চিহ্ন করে দেবে এবং 12 মাস পরে চাঁদ তার স্থান হারিয়ে ফেলার পর থেকে ডিম্বাকৃতি আকৃতির চাঁদ তার চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ে আসবে যখন এটি রাশিয়া সীমানায় প্রবেশ করবে এমন একটি বিন্দু যেখানে পৃথিবীর মহাকর্ষীয় টান চাঁদের মাধ্যাকর্ষণের চেয়ে শক্তিশালী হবে। হ্যাঁ, এই পর্যায়ে চাঁদ আর চাপটি পরিচালনা করবে না এবং টুকরো টুকরো হয়ে যাবে কারণ এর ধ্বংসাবশেষ শনি গ্রহের মতো আমাদের গ্রহের চারপাশে একটি রিং তৈরি করবে। তবে এটি একটি মনোরম দৃশ্য হবে না কারণ এই ভাঙা অংশগুলি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা ধুলো সূর্যকে আড়াল করে আমাদের চারপাশকে অন্ধকার করে দেবে।

কিন্তু সুসংবাদটি হ'ল এটি কখনই ঘটবে না, কারন চাঁদের জন্য তার কক্ষপথ হারিয়ে ফেলার জন্য এবং পৃথিবীতে পড়ার জন্য আমাদের তার গতি হ্রাস করতে হবে যা আমাদের পক্ষে অসম্ভব। প্রকৃতপক্ষে চাঁদের গতি বছরে প্রায় ৪ সেন্টিমিটার হারে পৃথিবী থেকে দূরে সরে যায় এবং একদিন এটি অনেক দূরে চলে যেতে পারে।

                                     What if the moon fell to earth?

Hey friends city we're gonna be discussing, a question what if the moon fell to earth? Wander what would happen right! lets go. 

Well in that scenario it will take around one year for the moon to touch our surface. Yes, the first few days all we will notice it is a bit bigger and brighter moon in the sky. But on the surface, the tides in the ocean will start to get higher and higher with each passing day. Within the month the moon will cover half the distance to the earth causing the tides as high as 4 meters tall to flood the beaches and coastal region.

But this is just the beginning as in the next 4 to 5 months these tides will grow as big as 100 meters drowning major cities' infrastructure like roads bridges and houses during the high tide hours. As the moon gets closer and closer the earth will start to feel the pressure beneath its surface due to the moon's gravity causing a higher magnitude earthquake and volcanic eruptions at different locations. 

Now after half the year since the moon started its falling spree it will reach a place called geosynchronous orbit a high earth orbit that allows satellites to match short rotation and once the moon settles there some of the floodwaters will return to the ocean as well. 

Now the earth's gravity will start to show its strength and in the next few months the moon side facing the earth will begin to extend towards our planet this will transform its shape like an egg, causing massive moon quakes beneath its surface. As time progresses the moon will start orbiting the earth faster than it rotates though this will lower the times and most of them will settle back to the sea but this faster rotation will cause even more earthquakes and volcanic eruption as the smoke and dust coming out of it will hide the sun causing darkness around us.

Then the lack of sunlight and toxic gases will reduce the temperature and cause acid rain that would wipe out the plants' animals and most humans and after 12 months since the moon lost its spot, the oval shape moon will come to its final phase as it enters the Russia limit a point where the earth's gravitational pull will be stronger than the moon's gravity. Yes, at this stage the moon will no longer handle the pressure and be shattered into pieces as its debris will create a ring around our planet just like Saturn but it won't be a pleasant sight as these broken chunks will slower down on earth like asteroids burning everything that's left.

But the good news is this won't ever happen, yes my friends for the moon to lose its orbit and fall on earth we need to slow down its speed which is impossible for us. In fact, the moon's speed makes it move away from earth at a rate of roughly 4 centimeters a year and one day it might go far far away.
