                                 74th Independence Day

আজ  আমরা সবাই ঘরে বসেই ভারতের ৭৪ তম স্বাধীনতা দিবস মহাআড়ম্বরে পালন করছি। কিন্তু আমরা কি  আজও  স্বাধীনতার আভ্যন্তরীণ অর্থ জানি? স্বাধীনতা মানে হল স্ববশ, নিজের অধীন, স্বতন্ত্র, পরের অধীন থেকে মুক্ত অর্থাৎ মানুষ যখন অর্থনৈতিক ও মানসিক  দিক থেকে স্বাবলম্বী হয়ে নিজেকে নিজের মত করে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে পারে। বাইরের কারও হস্তক্ষেপ যেন না থাকে। ১৯৪৭ সালে ১৫ই অগাস্ট ভারত ব্রিটিশের হাত থেকে মুক্তি পেয়ে নীল আকাশে সমস্ত ভারতবাসীকে নিয়ে স্বাধীনতার পতাকা উত্তোলন করেছিল। পশু পাখিরা যেমন খাঁচা থেকে মুক্তি পেলে যে অপরিসীম আনন্দ উপভোগ করে ব্রিটিশ এর অধীনে থাকা অত্যাচারিত ভারতবাসী ও সেই দিন হয়তো তেমন আনন্দই উপভোগ করেছিল।    

                                             

  কিন্তু আজ স্বাধীনতার ৭৪ তম দিবস উৎযাপনে আমরা মেতে উঠলে ও আমরা কি আজ সত্যি স্বাধীন?   তবে কেন আজ আমাদের সমাজে এখন ও মানুষে মানুষে এত হিংসা মারামারি দাঙ্গা হাংগামা। নিজেদের মধ্যে হিংসা ও বিভেদ ভুলে গিয়ে নারী পুরুষ সবাই একসঙ্গে মিলে কেন দেশকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে পারি না। আজও কেন চলে নারীদের উপর অত্যাচার, কেন  আজও চলে নারী প্রচারের মতো ঘৃণ্য ব্যবসা, অর্থের লোভে কেন আজও ভাই ভাই কে মারছে, বন্ধু বন্ধু কে ঠকাচ্ছে সামান্য স্বার্থ সিদ্ধির উদ্দেশ্যে। 

                                          আমরা তো সেই মহান ভারতবর্ষের মানুষ যেই দেশের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী দেশকে স্বাধীন করতে গিয়ে নিজের দেশের সেবায় নিজেকে বিলীন করে দিয়েছে। কত শত সহস্র মা ই না তাদের ছেলেদের দেশমাতাকে স্বাধীন করানোর জন্য হাসতে হাসতে উৎসর্গ করে দিয়েছে। আমরা তাও জানি আমাদের দেশের এমন অনেক স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী ছিল যারা বিদ্যা, বুদ্ধি ও অর্থনৈতিক দিক থেকে অনেক শক্তিশালী হওয়ার পর ও দেশমাতাকে মুক্ত করার জন্য নিজেদের জীবন উৎসর্গ করে দিয়েছিল ইচ্ছে করলেই ওরা নিজেদের মত করে জীবন কাটাতে পারত। তাদের মধ্যে নেতাজি সুভাষ  চন্দ একজন। আজ ও আমরা জানি না উনার ঠিক কি হয়েছিল। আমরা আজও যখন লোক কে ঠকাই, নারীদের উপর ঘৃণ্য অত্যাচার করি, নিজেদের মধ্যে মারামারি করি সামান্য অর্থের জন্য তখন কি সেই মহান পুরুষদের আত্মত্যাগের কথা আমাদের একবার ও কি মনে পড়ে না। আমাদের যদি আজ ও এমন মানুসিকতা হয় আমরা তবে কি করে দেশ কে উন্নতির পথে এগিয়ে  নিয়ে যাব ।শুধু সেই স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীরাই নয় আজ দেশকে যেই মহান সৈনিকরা দেশ সীমান্তে থেকে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে নিজেদের কথা না ভেবে দেশকে রক্ষা করে চলছে তাদের সামান্য সাহায্য করার জন্য নিজেরা ভেদা ভেদ ভুলে হাতে হাত রেখে দেশকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য চেষ্টা করতে পারি না। আর এই মহান কাজের জন্য সবার প্রথম নারী জাতিকে এগিয়ে আস্তে হবে কারণ নারীরা ই হল মা। আর এই মা রাই পারে তার ছেলেমেয়েকে ভাল শিক্ষা দিতে তার মনের চেতনা কে জাগিয়ে তুলতে , নিজেদের কে মানুষের মত মানুষ করে তুলতে। 

                                আর তবেই আমাদের সমাজের প্রত্যেক মানুষ অন্ধকার থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে জগতের আলো দেখতে পাবে। আর তখনি আমরা হাতে হাত রেখে নারী পুরুষ সবাই মিলে দেশকে উন্নতির শিখরে নিয়ে যেতে পারব। আর তখনি সমস্ত স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী ও দেশ সৈনিকদের বলিদান সার্থক হবে। আর আমাদের ভারতবর্ষ তখনি হবে মহান।

Today, we are all celebrating the 74th Independence Day of India in grand style at home. But do we still know the inner meaning of freedom? Freedom means self-sufficient, subordinate, independent, free from the subordination of the next, that is, when man can become economically and humanly self-sufficient and move forward as he pleases. There should be no interference from outside. On 15 August 1947, India was liberated from British rule and hoisted the flag of independence in the blue sky with all Indians. The oppressed Indians under the British enjoyed the immense joy of being released from a cage like the animals and birds, and perhaps the same joy that day.

                                  But today we are celebrating the 74th independence day but we are really independent today? But why is there so much violence and riots in our society today? Why can't we, men and women, forget the violence and division among ourselves and move the country forward together. Why is there oppression on women even today, why is there such a disgusting business like propaganda of women even today, why are brothers still killing their brothers for the sake of money, friends are cheating their friends for the sake of fulfilling small interests.  

                                   

                                      We are the people of that great India which has devoted itself to the service of its own country while trying to liberate the freedom fighting country. Hundreds and thousands of mothers have sacrificed their sons for the liberation of their motherland. We also know that there were many freedom fighters in our country who, after becoming very strong in terms of education, intellect and economy and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the motherland, could have lived as they wished. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is one of them. Today we do not know exactly what happened to him. Even today when we cheat people, abuse women, fight among ourselves for little money, don't we remember the sacrifices of those great men? If we have such humanity today, then how can we take the country forward on the path of progress. I can't forget the differences and try to take the country forward hand in hand. And for this great work, first of all, women will lead the nation slowly because women are mothers. And this mother only can give a good education to her children, awaken the consciousness of their mind, make herself human.

                                             And only then will every person in our society come out of the darkness and see the light of the world. And then we will be able to take the country to the pinnacle of development together with men and women. And then the sacrifices of all  the freedom fighters and soldiers of the country will be successful. And then our India will be great.
