             এই অপেক্ষা শব্দটির সাথে আমরা সবাই পরিচিত। অপেক্ষার উপলব্ধি সেই করতে পারে যে কখনো না কখনো কোন কিছুর জন্যে অপেক্ষা করেছে। অপেক্ষা মানে কিছু না বলা কথা, কিছু নীরবতা। অপেক্ষার ছোট্ট সময়গুলো অনেক দীর্ঘ হয়, সময় যেন কাটতেই চায় না তবুও আমরা অপেক্ষা করতে ভালবাসি। আসলে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিটা মূহুর্তে, কেউ না কেউ, কারো না কারো জন্য অপেক্ষা করে। সেই অপেক্ষা আবার ভিন্ন লোকের কাছে ভিন্ন হয়। কেউ করে খাবারের অপেক্ষা, কেউ বা সফলতার অপেক্ষা, কেউ বা নিজের প্রিয় মানুষটাকে ফিরে পাওয়ার অপেক্ষা, কেউ বা একটু ভাল সময়ের অপেক্ষা, কেউ বা কারো ছোট একটা মেসেজ বা ফোন কলের অপেক্ষা, কেউ আবার একটু সুখের অপেক্ষায় নিজেদের সারাজীবন কাটিয়ে দেয়।  অপেক্ষা যে সবসময় মধুর হয় এমন কোন কথা নেই। কেউ কেউ আবার বলে অপেক্ষা নাকি মৃত্যুর চেয়ে কঠিন। কিন্তু দীর্ঘ অপেক্ষার পর যখন কোন কিছু পাওয়া যায় সে যে বড় আনন্দের, সে যে মূল্যহীন। 

                 আসলে মানুষের বেঁচে থাকার জন্য এই অপেক্ষা নামক শব্দটির খুব প্রয়োজন। অপেক্ষা হচ্ছে মানুষের বেঁচে থাকার একটি মাধ্যম। অপেক্ষা আছে বলেই মানুষ বেঁচে আছে। শুধু সময়ের অপেক্ষা, সুযোগের অপেক্ষা, উন্নতির অপেক্ষা, একটু ভাল থাকার অপেক্ষায় কিছু চেষ্টা তবেই একদিন জীবন সুন্দর হয়ে উঠবে।

                 মানুষের জীবন পরিবর্তনশীল। আমরা  শৈশব থেকে বেড়ে উঠি একটু একটু করে। সেই বেড়ে উঠার সাথে সাথে আমাদের চাওয়া পাওয়া গুলোর ও অনেক পরিবর্তন ঘটে। আর এই চাওয়া পাওয়ার পরিবর্তনের সাথে সাথে আমাদের জীবনে সেই অপেক্ষার ও অনেক পরিবর্তন ঘটে।জীবনের  বিভিন্ন সময় ভিন্ন জিনিসের অপেক্ষায় মানুষের জীবন কেটে যায়।

  আজ এই অপেক্ষা নিয়ে দুই বান্ধবীর গল্প। ...........................।

                   পৃথা ও সানভী দুজন ই খুব ভাল বন্ধু। ছোট বেলা থেকে একসাথে একই স্কুলে পড়ে। পৃথার বাবা সরকারি স্কুলে চাকরি করত।  সানভীর বাবা ও সরকারি অফিসে চাকরি করতেন আর মা ছিলেন একজন বেসরকারি স্কুলের শিক্ষিকা। সানভী কিছুটা দুরন্ত হলেও পৃথা ছিল খুবই শান্ত স্বভাবের মেয়ে। তবে দুজনের ই পড়াশুনায় খুব আগ্রহ ছিল। প্রতি বছর পৃথা ও সানভীরা গরমের ছুটিতে ঘুরতে যেত। তবে দুজনের বাড়ি থেকে ঘুরতে যাওয়ার একটা সর্ত ছিল তা হল দুজনকেই পরীক্ষায় ভাল মার্কস পেতে হবে। তাই তারা দুজনই পরীক্ষার পর রেজাল্টের জন্য অধির আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করত। ওরা জানত ভাল রেজাল্ট হবে তবে ওদের অপেক্ষাটা ছিল ঘুরতে যাওয়ার।  

           এইভাবে চলতে চলতে ওরা অনেকটা বড় হয়ে উঠল। পৃথা মাধ্যমিক পাশ করে পলিটেকনিক কলেজে ডিপ্লোমা করতে গেল। সানভী বিজ্ঞান নিয়ে অন্য স্কুলে ভর্তি হল। ফলে দুই বান্ধবীর দেখা হত না বললেই চলে। তাই তারা ঠিক করেছিল গরমের ছুটি ও দুর্গা পূজার সময় তারা দেখা করবেই। আর এই ছুটির দিনগুলোর জন্যে দুজনেই অধির আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করত। ওদের দেখা হলে ওরা এত কথা বলত যে সময় শেষ হয়ে যায় কিন্তু ওদের কথা যেন শেষ হয় না। আবার ছুটি ফুরিয়ে যায় যে যার পথে চলে যায়। আবার অপেক্ষা করতে থাকে কবে দেখা হবে।  

        সেই সময় পৃথার কলেজে রুদ্র নামে একটি ছেলে ছিল যে পৃথাকে খুব পছন্দ করত। পৃথার ও রুদ্রকে বেশ ভাল লাগত কারণ রুদ্র দেখতে যেমন ভাল ছিল পড়াশুনায় ও তেমন ভাল ছিল। রুদ্র ছিল বেশ ধনী পরিবারের ছেলে। পৃথা প্রথম রুদ্রের পরিবারের কথা জানত না। রুদ্র পাশ করার পর এক মাসের মধ্যেই একটি বেসরকারি কম্পানিতে চাকরি পেল। চাকরি সূত্রে রুদ্রকে অন্য শহরে যেতে হবে বলে রুদ্রের মা বাবার সম্মতি ছিল না এই চাকরিতে। কিন্তু পৃথা সবসময় চাইত ভাল রেজাল্ট করে ভাল চাকরি করে মা বাবার পাশে দাঁড়াবে মা বাবার পয়সায় নয়। আর সে যাকে বিয়ে করবে সে ও নিজে চেষ্টা করে সব কিছু করবে মা বাবার পয়সায় নয়। রুদ্রের মানসিকতা ছিল ভিন্ন। মা বাবার যেহেতু পয়সা আছে সে কেন এত কষ্ট করতে যাবে? যাই হউক পরে পৃথার কথা ভেবে সে চাকরি করতে রাজি হল। পৃথা ভাবছিল রুদ্রের চাকরিটা পাকাপাকি হয়ে গেলে পৃথা ও সেখানে গিয়ে একটা চাকরির ব্যবস্থা করে নেবে। আর তাতে তাদের ভাল ভাবে সংসার কেটে যাবে। তারপর রুদ্র ও পৃথার মা ও বাবাকে ওদের সাথে নিয়ে রাখবে। সেই অপেক্ষাতেই পৃথার দিন কাটছিল।

In English

        We are all familiar with the word wait. The realization of waiting can make one who has ever waited for something. Waiting means not saying anything or some silence. Some times short time of waiting  is very long, after that we love to wait. In fact every moment in the world, someone is waiting for something. the meaning of wait is different for different people. Someone waits for food, someone waits for success, someone waits for their loved one to return, someone waits for a better time, someone waits for a short message or phone call, someone waits for a little happiness. The word wait is not always good or us. Some people say that waiting is more harder than death. But after a long wait, when something is found, it is a great joy, it is worthless.

    In fact, the word "waiting" is very necessary for human survival. People are alive because they are waiting. Just waiting for the time, waiting for the opportunity, waiting for the improvement, waiting for a little better, only then will life become beautiful.

   Life is changeable. We grow up little by little from childhood. As we grow older, our needs change. With this change of our life our, our expectation also changes day by day.

Today I am writing a story of two friends related with the word "wait".

       Pritha and Sanvi are very good friends. From childhood they went to the same school together. Pritha's father worked in a government school. Sanvir's father worked in a government office and his mother was a teacher in a private school. Although Sanvi was a bit naughty, Pritha was a very polite girl. However, both of them were very interested in their study. Every year, Pritha and Sanvira would go to tour on summer vacation. However, one of the conditions for the two of them to go to the tour, if they get good marks in the exam. So they both waited anxiously for the result after the test. They knew they will get good marks but they were waiting for the tour.

  In this way they grew up. After madhyamik exam Pritha went to do a diploma in polytechnic college. Sanvi was admitted to another school to study science. As a result, they would not meet each other regularly. So they decided to meet during summer vacation and Durga Puja. Both of them were waiting for this holiday days. When they met each other, they share everything related to their life but time was to short so they could not express everything,holiday is over again. So they wait for next holiday.

     At that time there was a boy named Rudra in Pritha's College who liked Pritha very much. Prithar also liked Rudra because Rudra was good in study and also very good looking boy. He was very good in behaviour also. Rudra was the son of a very rich family. Pratha did not know about Rudra's family at first. Within a month of passing, Rudra got a job with a private company. Rudra's parents did not agree that he would have to go to another city for the job. But Pritha always wanted to get a good result and get a good job and stand by her parents with her own ability, not with her parents' money. The boy she will marry will do everything on his own ability, not with the help of his parents' But Rudra's mentality was different. Since parents have money, why can he suffer so much? Anyway, after thinking about Pritha, he agreed to work. Pritha thought that when Rudra was fixed in his job, she would go there and arrange a job.This will help them to keep their family Manage in a good way. Then Rudra and Pritha will bring their mother and father  with them. Pritha's was waiting for those days.
