সানভী এখন কলেজে পড়ে। তার সাথে পৃথার এখন খুব কম দেখা হয়। চিঠি ই ওদের যোগাযোগের একমাত্র মাধ্যম। পৃথা ও রুদ্রের কথা চিঠির মাধ্যমে জানতে পেল। সে পৃথার উপর রুদ্রের এমন ব্যবহারে খুব ভয় পেয়েগেছে। সানভী ভাবল পৃথা যদি রুদ্রকে বিশ্বাস না করত তবে তাকে এত কষ্ট পেতে হত না। তাই সে মনে মনে ভাবল পৃথা যা করেছে সে তা কখনো করবে না। সানভী পড়াশোনায় যেমন ভাল ছিল দেখতে ও তেমন ভাল ছিল।
কলেজে পড়ার সময় বিভা নামে একটি মেয়ের সাথে তার খুব বন্ধুত্ব হয়। বিভার বাড়ি ছিল কলেজের খুব কাছে । তাই সানভী মাঝে মধ্যে বিভার বাড়ি যেত। বিভার বাড়ির সবাই ছিল বেশ পুরানো মানসিকতার লোক। মেয়েদের খুব বেশি পড়াশোনা বা চাকরি করা ওদের বাড়িতে তেমন কেও পছন্দ করত না। রাহুল হল বিভার বড় দাদা। বিভারা যখন কলেজে পড়ে তখন রাহুল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং পাশ করে একটি ভাল চাকরি পেল। রাহুলের জন্যই বিভা কলেজে পড়ছে কারণ বিভার মা বাবার কোন ইচ্ছে ছিল না উচ্চমাধ্যমিকের পর মেয়েকে পড়ানোর। রাহুল আজকের যুগের ছেলে সে ও চায় তার বোন ভাল করে পড়াশোনা করে চাকরি করে নিজের মত করে থাকুক।
সানভী কলেজে যাবার পথে একদিন বিভার বাড়ি গিয়েছিল সেখানে তার রাহুলের সাথে দেখা। তবে মাঝে মধ্যে বিভা ও সানভী অঙ্ক করতে সমস্যা হলে রাহুলের কাছে বুঝতে যেত। সানভী কলেজে অঙ্ক অনার্স নিয়ে পড়ত। সে খুব ভাল রেজাল্ট ও করেছিল। সানভী ছোটবেলা থেকেই ছিল খুব দুরন্ত ও সাহসী তাই বিভা সানভীর সাথে থাকলে রাহুল ও বোনকে নিয়ে নিশিন্তে থাকত।
তবে রাহুলের সানভীকে খুব ভাল লাগত। কিন্তু যদি সানভীর কিছু খারাপ লাগে তা ভেবে কিছু বলা হয়ে উঠেনি। তাছাড়া রাহুলের বাড়ির কথা ভাবলেও সানভীকে কিছু বলার সাহস পেত না। রাহুল জানত সানভী এই বাড়িতে বউ হয়ে আসলে তাকে অনেক কিছু সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হতে হবে। দেখতে দেখতে তিন বছর কেটে গেল। সানভী ও বিভা কলেজ পাশ করে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তি হল। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তির দুমাসের মধ্য বিভার বিয়ে হয়ে গেল। তবে বিভার স্বামী খুব ভাল ছিল। তাই বিভা পড়াশুনাটা চালিয়ে যেতে পেড়েছিল।
এদিকে সানভী ও রাহুলের প্রতি কিছুটা দুর্বল হয়ে পড়েছিল। বিভা তাই দাদা ও সানভীর ব্যাপারটা বুঝতে পারছিল। এক ছুটির দিনে বিভার স্বামীর সাথে সানভী ও তার দাদাকে নিয়ে ঘুরতে গেছিল। সেখানে সানভীর ও রাহুলের কথা হল তবে সানভী রাহুল কে জানিয়ে দিল বিয়ের পর কিন্তু সানভী চাকরি ছাড়তে পাড়বে না। বিভার ও তার দাদার সানভীর চাকরি নিয়ে কিছু সমস্যা ছিল না। বরং রাহুল ও চাইত সানভী চাকরি করুক।
মাস্টার ডিগ্রি পাশ করার সাথে সাথেই সানভীর উঁচু পোস্টে একটা ভাল চাকরি পেয়ে যায়। সানভী খুব খুশী ছিল। খবরটা পেয়ে পৃথা তার স্বামী ও দাদাকে নিয়ে সানভীর বাড়িতে আসে। সবাই মিলে খুব আনন্দ করে।
সানভীর মাইনে ও রাহুল থেকে বেশি ছিল। বিভা বাড়ি ফিরে রাহুলের সাথে সানভীর কথাই বলছিল এমন সময় রাহুলের মা ভাই বোনের কথা শুনে বললেন তোদের যতসব বারাবারি মেয়ে মানুষ এত বড় চাকরি করে কোন দিন সংসার সামলাতে পারে? এই মেয়ে যে বাড়ির বউ হবে সেখানেই অশান্তি হবে। রাহুল তার মায়ের কথা শুনে ভয় পেয়ে গেল। কোথায় ওরা ভেবেছিল সানভী চাকরি পেয়ে গেছে এবার ওরা বাড়িতে বলবে। কিন্তু তা আর হল না।

Sanvi is now in college. Pritha is rarely seen with her now. Letters are their only means of communication. Sanvi got to know about Pritha and Rudra through letters. She is very scared of Rudra's behaviour. Sanvi thought that if Pritha did not trust Rudra, she would not have to suffer so much. So she thought to herself that she would never do what Pritha did. Sanvi was as good to look at as she was to study.
While in college, she is very friendly with a girl named Biva. Biva's house was very close to the college. So Sanvi would occasionally go to Biva's house. Everyone in Biva's house was a old minded. They do not liked, the girls studying too much. Rahul is Biva's elder brother. When Biva went to college, Rahul passed engineering and got a good job. Biva is studying in college for Rahul because Biva's parents had no desire to teach her daughter after high school. Rahul is the boy of modern age and he wants his sister to study well and get a job.
One day, on the way of College, Sanvi went to Biva's home and there she met Rahul. But sometimes when Biva and Sanvi face any trouble to doing maths, Rahul used to teach them. Sanvi used to study Maths Honors in the college. She did very well. Sanvi was very naughty and brave from her childhood so When Viva was with Sanvi, Rahul was free from tension about her sister.
Rahul liked Sanvi very much, but if Sanvir feels wrong,so Rahul doesn't say anything. Beside, Rahul did not share his feelings with Sanvir because of his parents' superstitions. Rahul knew that if Sanvi became his wife, she would have to face many problems. Three years passed. Sanvi and Biva passed the college and got admitted in the university. Biva got married in the middle of two months of university admission. But Biva's husband was very good. So Biva had to continue her studies.
Sanvi also loved Rahul. Biva therefore understood the matter of her elder brother and Sanvir. One weekend, Biva went to a park with her husband, Sanvi and her elder brother. In the park Sanvir and Rahul talk to each other but Sanvi clearly said to Rahul that after marriage, Sanvi will not have to leave the job. Biva and his brother had no problem About getting a job of Sanvir.
As soon as she passed her master's degree, Sanvir got a good job in a high post. Sanvi was very happy. To get the news, Pritha came to Sanvir's house with her husband and brother. Everyone is very happy together.
Sanvir's salary was more than Rahul. When Biva returned home and was talking to Rahul about Sanvir, Rahul's mother listened to their conversation and said, Girls can not handle the family while doing a job. There will be trouble in that house where the girl will be after marriage. Rahul got scared when he heard about his mother mentality. Where did they think Sanvi got the job now they will say at home everything. But that did not happen.
