                                                             সানভীর অপেক্ষা

    এই মেয়ে যে বাড়ির বউ হবে সেখানেই অশান্তি হবে। রাহুল তার মায়ের কথা শুনে ভয় পেয়ে গেল। কোথায় ওরা ভেবেছিল সানভী চাকরি পেয়ে গেছে এবার ওরা বাড়িতে বলবে। কিন্তু তা আর হল না।......................

            এদিকে রাহুল বিভার সাথে মাঝে মধ্যে সানভীর বাড়ি যেত বলে রাহুলের সাথে সানভীর মা বাবার সম্পর্কটা বেশ ভাল ছিল। সানভী জানত তার মা বাবার তাদের সম্পর্ক নিয়ে কোন সমস্যা থাকবে না।

             রাহুল ও বিভা তার মাকে অনেক বোঝানোর চেষ্টা করল কিন্তু রাহুলের মা স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দিল এই বাড়িতে যে মেয়েই বউ হয়ে আসবে তার চাকরি করা চলবে না। রাহুল কি করবে কিছুই ভাবতে পারছিল না। সে বাড়ি থেকে দূরে শহরের বাইরে চাকরির চেষ্টা করতে লাগল। সে ভাবছিল সানভীকে বিয়ে করে অন্য শহরে নিয়ে যাবে। সানভী বলে দিল সে সারা জীবন অপেক্ষা করতে রাজী আছে কিন্তু সে রাহুলের মা বাবার অমতে বিয়ে করবে না। রাহুল জানত তার মা বাবা কখনো রাজী হবে না কারণ যারা নিজের মেয়ের পড়াশোনা মেনে নিতে পারে না ওরা নাকি ছেলের বউয়ের চাকরি মেনে নেবে। 

                 হঠাৎ রাহুল অন্য শহরে চাকরিটা পেয়েগেল। সানভীর মা বাবা ও সানভীকে বিয়ের জন্য চাপ দিচ্ছিল। পাশ করে মেয়ে এবার চাকরি করছে এবার মেয়েকে বিয়ে না দিলে পাড়াপ্রতিবেশিদের কথা শুনতে হবে। সানভী ও এইসব নিয়ে বেশ চাপে ছিল। রাহুল চাকরিতে যোগ দেওয়ার এক মাস পর ফিরে এসে সানভীর এ অবস্থা দেখে নিজেকে দায়ী মনে হচ্ছিল। রাহুল বিভাকে সাথে নিয়ে সানভীকে অনেক বোঝানোর চেষ্টা করে। কিন্তু রাহুলের মা বাবার অমতে বিয়ে করবে না। রাহুল ফিরে গেল। কিছু দিন পর সে ছুটিতে শহরে ফিরল কিন্তু সানভীর সাথে দেখা করল না। রাহুল তার এক  বন্ধুকে  দিয়ে সানভীকে একটা চিঠি পাঠায়। সানভী রাহুল কোথায় জানতে চাইলে বন্ধুটি বলে সে ফিরে গেছে। আজকাল সে সানভীকে খুব কম ফোন করে, বা সানভী ফোন করলে কিছু না কিছু বাহানা করে ফোন রেখে দেয়। সানভী রাহুলের কি হয়েছে কিছুই বুঝতে পারে না। 

       সানভী চিঠিটা পড়ার পর কি করবে কিছুই বুঝতে পারছিল না। সানভীর চোখের সামনে যেন স্বপ্ন ভেঙ্গে শেষ হয়ে যাচ্ছিল। সে অনেক বার রাহুল কে ফোন করার চেষ্টা করছিল কিন্তু রাহুল ফোনটা ধরলনা। সে বিভাকে ফোন করল বিভা ও কিছু জানে না। 

      তারপর দেখতে দেখতে ৫টা বছর কেটে গেল। আজ সানভীর সাথে রাহুলের কোন সম্পর্ক নেই। সানভীর মা বাবার বয়স হয়েছে তাই তারা বাড়ি বিক্রি করে সানভীর অফিসের কাছাকাছি জায়গা কিনে নিজেদের থাকার ছোট একটা বাড়ি ও তার পাশে ছোট একটা অনাথ আশ্রম তৈরি করল। এই আশ্রম চালাতে সানভীর মা বাবা তাকে সাহায়্য করে। কারণ সানভী ছুটির দিন ছাড়া  অফিসের পর খুব কম সময় দিতে পারে এই আশ্রমে। সানভী আসলে সব কিছু ভুলে নিজেকে ব্যস্ত রাখতে চায়।  

         সানভী তার সহকর্মীদের সাথে নিয়ে আশ্রমের বাচ্চাদের জন্যে কিছু দরকারি জিনিসপত্র কিনতে বেড়িয়েছিল। তার পরনে ছিল লাল সাদায় মেশান একটা শাড়ি আর কপালে একটা লাল টিপ। কেনাকাটা প্রায় শেষ এবার বাড়ি ফিরবে এমন সময় রাহুলের সাথে দেখা। রাহুল কে দেখে সানভী চমকে উঠল। 

       রাহুল যেখানে চাকরি করে সেখানে সুনীল নামে একটি ছেলের সাথে তার খুব ভাল বন্ধুত্ব হয়। আজ ৫ বছর পর সেই বন্ধুর সাথে তার নিজের শহরে ফিরল। রাহুল সানভীর সাথে সুনীলের পরিচয় করিয়ে দেয়।

         Rahul got scared when he heard about his mother mentality. Where did they think Sanvi got the job now they will say at home everything. But that did not happen...........................

       Sometimes, Sanvir's parents had a good relationship with Rahul as he used to go to Sanvir's house with Biva's from time to time. Sanvi knew her parents would have no problem with their relationship.

  Rahul and Biva tried to persuade their mother but Rahul's mother made it clear that the girl who would become a wife of Rahul should not be doing job. Rahul could not think of anything to do. He started trying to get a job outside the city away from home. He thought he would marry Sanvi and take her to another city after marriage. Sanvi said she is willing to wait for the rest of her life but she will not marry without the consent of Rahul's parents. Rahul knew that his parents would never agree because those who could not accept their daughter's education, would accept their daughter's-in-law job.

   Suddenly Rahul got the job in another city. Sanvir's parents were pressuring Sanvi to get married. If the girl is not married this time, they will have to insulted by their neighbours. Sanvi was also under a lot of pressure. When Rahul returned a month after joining the job and saw Sanvi he felt guilty. Rahul tries to explain a lot to Sanvi along with Biva. But Sanvi will not marry without Rahul parents consent. Rahul went back. A few days later he returned to the city on holiday but did not meet Sanvir. Rahul sends a letter to Sanvi through a friend. When Sanvi asked where Rahul was, the friend said he had gone back. Nowadays he rarely calls Sanvi, or when Sanvi calls, he leaves the phone with some excuse. Sanvi can't understand what happened to Rahul.

   Sanvi could not understand what to do after reading the letter. The dream seemed to be shattered in front of Sanvir's eyes. She was trying to call Rahul many times but Rahul did not answer the phone. Then Sanvi called Biva , but Biva doesn't know anything about this.

    Then 5 years passed. Today, Rahul has no relationship with Sanvi. Sanvi's parents are old so they sold their house and bought a place near Sanvi's office and built a small house for themselves and a small orphanage home next to it. Sanvi's parents help her to run this ashram. Because Sanvi can spend very little time in this ashram after office except on holidays. Sanvi actually wants to forget everything and keep herself busy.

  Sanvi along with her colleagues went out to buy some necessities for the children of the ashram. She was wearing a red and white sari and a red tip on her forehead. When the shopping is almost over and Sanvi will return home suddenly Rahul saw Sanvi . Sanvi was shocked to see Rahul.

    Rahul has a very good friendship with a boy named Sunil where he works. Today, after 5 years, he returned to his hometown with that friend. Rahul introduces Sunil to Sanvir.
