দেখতে দেখতে দুটো বছর কেটে গেল। রাত প্রায় দুটো বাজে কিন্তু সৃজার চোখে এখনো ঘুম নেই। সৃজার ঘুম না আসা প্রায় প্রতিদিনের গল্প হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। সে প্রতি রাতেই কখনো গল্পের বই পড়ে, কখনো আবার মোবাইল দেখে ঘুমানোর চেষ্টা করে। কিন্তু চোখ বন্ধ করলেই যেন চোখের সামনে জীবনের সব হিসেব নিকেশ গুলো ভেসে উঠে, যা হাজার চেষ্টা করে ও আজ পর্যন্ত সে মিলাতে পারেনি। 

 

আমরা সবাই ছোটবেলা থেকে নিজের মত করে জীবনের হিসেব গুলো মিলানোর চেষ্টা করি। আর সেই হিসেব মিলাতে গিয়ে কখনো নিজেদের মনের কথা শুনি, কখনো আবার মা বাবা যেমন বলে সেই ভাবে মিলানোর চেষ্টা করি। কিন্তু জীবনের হিসেবটা যে বইয়ের অঙ্কের হিসেবের মত চলে না সে যে বড় জটিল। তাই আমরা অনেকেই শত চেষ্টা করে ও সৃজার মত জীবনের অঙ্কে কাঁচা থেকে যাই। 

সৃজা অমল বাবুর একমাত্র মেয়ে। অমল বাবু পেশায় একজন উকিল। সৃজার মা একজন গৃহ বধূ। সে মা বাবার একমাত্র সন্তান বলে ছোটবেলা থেকেই বড় আদর যত্নে মানুষ হয়েছে। সে পড়াশোনায় বরাবরই খুব ভাল। স্বভাব চরিত্রে ও বেশ ভাল মেয়ে, কিন্তু খুব রাগী। কোন কিছুতেই ভয় পায় না। সৃজা ছোট বেলা থেকেই শহরের এক নামী স্কুলে পড়ত। স্কুল ও কলেজের পড়াশোনা শেষ করে একটা বেসরকারি কম্পানিতে বেশ ভাল মাইনের চাকরি ও পেল।

এদিকে তীর্থের ও একই অবস্থা। তার ও রাতে ঘুম আসে না। তার যেন কোন কিছুই ভাল লাগে না। আজকাল যেন সবার কাছ থেকেই পালিয়ে বেড়ায়। এখন লোকজনের এত প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিতে তার আর ভালও লাগে না। সে এমন কোথাও চলে যেতে চায় যেখানে কেউ তাকে চিনতে পারবে না। 

তীর্থ ছিল উচ্চ মধ্যবিত্ত ঘরের ছেলে।তার বাবা ডাক্তার আর মা স্কুলের শিক্ষিকা। ওরা এক ভাই এক বোন। তীর্থের ছোট বোনের নাম ত্রিশা। তীর্থ পাশ করে নিজের চেষ্টায় বড় ব্যবসায়ী হয়ে উঠেছে।

তীর্থ ও সৃজা নবম শ্রেণীতে একেই শিক্ষকের কাছে অঙ্ক করতে যেত। তখন থেকেই তীর্থের সৃজাকে খুব ভাল লাগত। কিন্তু সৃজা যা রাগী মেয়ে ছিল তাই শ্রীযাকে কোনদিন তীর্থের মনের কথা বলা হয়ে উঠেনি। সৃজা স্কুল জীবনে একটু অন্য রকম ছিল। সে তার খুব কাছের বন্ধু ছাড়া তেমন কারো সাথে কথা বলত না। 

তারপর ক্লাস XII পাশ করে দুজনেরই  দুই কলেজ। তাই তাদের আর যোগাযোগ রইল না।  তাছাড়া সৃজার বাবা পুরনো ফ্ল্যাট বিক্রি করে অন্য জায়গায় নূতন বাড়ি কিনেছে। তীর্থ পড়াশোনা শেষ করে সৃজার সাথে যোগাযোগ করার চেষ্টা করেছিল কিন্তু ব্যর্থ হল।

Two years passed. It is about two o'clock at night but Shrija still cannot sleep. Shrija's sleep deprivation has become an almost daily story. Every night she reads story books, sometimes she tries to sleep by looking at her mobile. But as soon as she closes her eyes, all the calculations of life floated in front of her eyes, which she tried a thousand times and she has not been able to reconcile till today.

We all try to reconcile the calculations of life in our own way from childhood. when I go to reconcile that calculation, sometimes we listen to our own mind, sometimes we try to reconcile the way according to our parents. But the calculation of life is very complicated. So many of us try a hundred times to solve the calculation of life but unsuccessful like Shrija.

Shrija is one an only daughter of  Amal Babu. Amal Babu is a lawyer by profession. Shrija's mother is a housewife. As she is the only child of her parents, she has been loved and taken care of since childhood. She has always been very good at studying. She is a very good well behaved girl, but very angry. Not afraid of anything. From an early age, Shrija attended a well-known school in the city. After finishing school and college, she got a good job in a private company.

 

Meanwhile, Tirtho is suffering in same situation like shrija. He also does not sleep at night. Now-a-days he doesn't like anything. He seems to run away from everyone. Now he doesn't like to answer any questions of his relatives or neighbours. He also wants to go to a place where no one can recognize him.

Tirtho was the son of an upper middle class family. His father was a doctor and his mother was a school teacher. They are one brother and one sister. Tirtho's younger sister's name is Trisha. After completing his study, Tirtho has become a big businessman by his own efforts.

Tirtho and Shrija could learn maths to the same teacher in ninth class. From that time, Tirtho liked to Shrija very much. But Shrija was an angry girl.So Tirtho could not told any think to Shrija. Shriya was a little different in her school life. She never talked to anyone except her closest friends.

Then they passed class XII and both of them went to different college. So they had no contact. Moreover, Shrija's father sold their old flat and bought a new house in another place. Tirtho tried to contact with Shrija after finishing his studies but failed.
