কথা দিয়ে কেউ কথা রাখেনি _ মনের কথা

                                              কথা দিয়ে কেউ কথা রাখেনি _ মনের কথা

অনেকেই অনেক কথা দেয়, কিন্তু সবাই কি কথা রাখতে পারে? ত্রেতা যুগে অযোধ্যার রাজা দশরথের ছেলে রামচন্দ্র তাঁর বাবার কথা রাখতে বনে গিয়েছিলেন। তিনি বন থেকে ফিরে তাঁর রাজধর্ম পালন করতে গিয়ে সীতাকে আবার একা বনবাসে পাঠিয়েছিলেন। তিনি প্রজাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি রাখতে গিয়ে সীতাকে বিয়ে করার সময় যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন তা রাখতে পারেননি। 

   যাইহোক শ্রী রামচন্দ্র তো ছিলেন বিষ্ণুর অবতার কিন্তু আমরা সাধারণ মানুষ কি পারি কাউকে কথা দিয়ে কথা রাখতে? 

মৃন্ময়ী তার বাবা মায়ের একমাত্র সন্তান ছিল। ছোটবেলা থেকে সে মা বাবার অতি যত্নে বড় হয়ে উঠেছে। তার মা বাবা তাকে বলত তারা মৃন্ময়ীকে সবসময় তাদের কাছে রাখবে। কিন্তু মেয়ে বড় হওয়ার সাথে সাথে তার বৃদ্ধ মা বাবা তাদের অবর্তমানে মেয়েকে কে দেখবে তাই একটা ভাল ছেলে দেখে বিয়ে দিয়ে তাকে অন্যের বাড়ি পাঠিয়ে দিল। এই ভাবে মৃন্ময়ীর বাবা মা ছোটবেলায় তাকে দেওয়া কথা রাখতে পারল না। 

কিছুদিন আগে মালদার এক ডাক্তার করোনা রোগীদের সেবা করতে করতে শেষে মৃত্যুর মুখে ঢলে পরলেন। এইভাবে ডাক্তারবাবু তার প্রতিশ্রুতি রাখতে গিয়ে নিজের জীবন উৎসর্গ করে দিলেন। 

দুদিন আগে খবরে শুনতে পেলাম স্বামী তার স্ত্রীকে সন্দেহ করে ছেলের সামনে গুলি করে খুন করে।  কি করে পারল সে এমন করতে।এখানে কার দোষ বিচার করার আগে ভাবা দরকার ওরা তো মানুষ। একজন মানুষ মানুষকে কি করে খুন করতে পারে তাও সেই নিজের স্ত্রীকে, যাকে সে একদিন অতি যত্নে ঘরের লক্ষ্মী করে ঘরে এনেছিল। তারা দুজন কেউ নিজেদের ছেলেটার কথা ভাবল না। স্বামী, না তার স্ত্রী কে দেওয়া কথা, না তার ছেলেকে দেওয়া কথা রাখতে পারল। 

 পাশের পাড়ার শর্বাণী তুতুল দুজন দুজনকে খুব ভালবাসত। দুজনই সবার সাথে সংগ্রাম করে বিয়ে করেছে। কিন্তু বিয়ের কিছুদিন পরই তারা তাদের নিজেদের আত্মমর্যাদা নিয়ে এত ভাবতে লাগল যে তাদের একসাথে আর সংসার করা হল না। 

 তুতুলের এক বন্ধু রাহুল, একটি মেয়েকে খুব ভালবাসত। সে বহু দিন ধরে চেষ্টা করে মেয়েটিকে রাজি করাল। কিন্তু হঠাৎ কি যে হল তাদের সম্পর্ক তা ও ভেঙ্গে গেল। ওরা কি কথা রাখতে পারবে না ভেবে আগে থেকেই নিজেদের সম্পর্ক ভেঙ্গে দিল।

  মালাদেবির এক ছেলে ও এক মেয়ে। তিনি ছোটবেলায় তার মা বাবাকে হারিয়েছিলেন  শশুর বাড়ি তে ও তার উপর চলত অনেক অত্যাচার। তিনি তার ছেলে মেয়ের জন্য ই বেঁচে ছিলেন। তার ছেলেমেয়ে মালাদেবিকে কথা দিয়েছিল ওরা বড় হয়ে মাকে কষ্ট দেবে না। কিন্তু পরিবেশ পরিস্থিতির কারণে মাকে একা গ্রামের বাড়িতে রেখে এসেছে। ওরা ও যে মাকে দেওয়া কথা রাখতে পারেনি।

          বিচিত্র এই পৃথিবী, বিচিত্র তাতে বসবাসকারী মানুষের মন। কেউ কথা দিয়ে শত চেষ্টা করে ও কথা রাখতে পারে না , কেউ আবার ইচ্ছাকৃত কথা দিয়ে কথা রাখে না। কিন্তু যাদের কথা দেওয়া হয় তাদের মনের কথা কি কেও ভাবে? আমার মনে হয় কথা দিয়ে কথা না রাখার চেয়ে কথা না দেওয়া অনেক ভাল। 

                                                 

English Translation

People make many promises, but can they always fulfil it ? In the Treta era, Ramchandra, the son of Dasaratha, the king of Ayodhya, went to the forest to keep his father's word. He returned from the forest to observe his monarchy and he sent back Sita to the forest alone. He could not keep the promise he had made to Sita when he married her.

  However, Sri Ramchandra was an avatar of Vishnu, but can the ordinary people fulfil their promises always? Mrinmayee was the only child of her parents. From an early age, she grew up in the care of her parents. Her parents used to tell her that they would always keep Mrinmayee with them. But as soon as the girl grows up, her parents thought that who will take care the girl in their absence, so they found a groom and got her married. In this way, Mrinmayee's parents could not keep their promise to her they give, when she was as a child.

 A few days ago,  In Maldha a doctor died while serving patients in Corona. In this way, the doctor sacrificed his life to keep his promise, the oath that took as a doctor.

Two days ago, I heard in the news that, a husband shot and killed his wife in front of the boy on suspicion. How could he do that? Here we need to think before judging whose fault it is?. How can a man kill another woman? His own wife, whom he brought home with great care one day. Neither of them thought of their own son. The husband could not keep his word to his wife or his son.

  Sharbani Tutul loved each other very much. Both of them got married after a lot of struggle. But soon after the marriage, they began to think so much about their own self-respect that they no longer had a family together.

 Maladive had a son and a daughter.She lost her parents at an early age. At her father-in-law's house she was subjected to a lot of torture. She just survived for her son and daughter. Her children promised to Maladivi  that they would not hurt their mother when they grew up. But due to circumstances, they left their mother alone in the village house. They couldn't keep their word to their mother.

This world is diverse and so is the mind of the people living in it. Some people can not keep their promise due to their difficult situation in life but some people intentionally do not keep their promise.  I think it's better not to promise if we can not keep it.
